Ford Model A 1928
The Ford Model A was introduced late 1927 and served as a replacement for the highly successful Model T. In the mid 1920's, the sales of the Model T quickly slowed as competition evolved.
Model A is complex, but much easier and simpler to use than the car was replaced. It was powered by a new four-cylinder engine that twice the power developed. The exterior design elements of the model are made of Lincoln, which the model is a modern, fresh and refined. Other features include four-wheel mechanical brakes the wire, welded wire and wheel type Houdaille double action shock absorbers. The Model T was available in one color, while the Model A was offered in several choices, including green, gray and black. Prices start at $ 460 and available in nine body types.
On February 4, 1929, had one million Model as sold, and 24 July two million. The range of body styles from Tudor to run to U.S. $ 500 (gray, green or black)for the Town Car with a cover double to U.S. $ 1200.In March 1930 the turnover of three million Model A, and there were nine body styles available.
Model A was produced in 1931. When production ended in March 1932, there were 4,849,340 [citation needed] As Model made in all styles. His successor was Model B, which is an updated 4-cylinder, followed by the Ford Model 18 flat (SV) V8 introduced characterized.
