Citroën is a major French car manufacturer, part of PSA Peugeot Citroen. Founded in 1919 by French industrialist André-Gustave Citroën (1878-1935), Citroen was the first automaker to mass-production outside the United States [3] and the pioneer of the modern concept of creating a network of sales and service that car to complete. [4] in the eight-year manufacturer Citroën had become Europe's largest and fourth largest car in the world. [5] In 1924, Citroën produced in Europe is all steel body car, the B-10. [6] In 1934, Citroën consolidated its reputation with its innovative Traction Avant, not only the world's first mass-produced front-wheel drive car, but also one of the first cars to a monocoque type. [7] in 1954, Citroën produced the first self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension, [citation needed] and in 1955 the revolutionary Citroën DS, the first European production car with disc brakes.
